Sevenoaks RFC Appoints Assistant Coach

Sevenoaks RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of John Whitehead as Assistant Coach. John brings with him a wealth of previous coaching experience, most notably as Joint Head Coach at Thanet Wanderers RFC between 2009-2010, and as Coach at Maidstone RFC between 2002- 2008. Prior to that he has coached at Cranbrook RFC and has achieved RFU Level 3 coaching status.Outside of club rugby, John has also been Head Coach of Rugby at Sir Joseph Williamsons Mathematical School, Rochester. A former player himself, he has considerable 1st team experience in various positions both at Beckenham RFC and at Gillingham Anchorians RFC where he was 1st XV captain for three seasons.
John will work alongside Head Coach Danny Vaughan in preparing all senior players during midweek training, but will be specifically tasked to oversee and assist the 2nd XV in match day coaching and preparation.
