AGM Summary
04 Aug 2010
Documents now Online
The AGM took place on Thursday the 29th and was a dry affair due to the bar being closed as the first part of the Paddock Project has started with some internal refurbishment. The chairman opened the meeting and gave an account of the clubs success's last season and then moved on to the Paddock Project which is well underway and hopefully will receive the full go ahead in the next few weeks subject to council agreement and the receipt of grants linked to lease arrangements. Other items of interest he brought to the meetings attention were that all teams will have a dedicated manager next season and Mark Reay has been appointed Pathfinder for the club(relates to retention of players after junior rugby - more information will be forthcoming on this role in time). The treasurer gave an overview of the clubs financial position which overall given the current financial climate that all clubs find themselves in is acceptable but we should not be complacent and efforts must be made to increase revenue streams. New subscription rates were approved but unfortunately the club will not be able to accept Direct Debit payments for subscriptions for the coming season. All officers were nominated when put to the vote but there is still a vacancy for social secretary so anyone or group interested in getting involved in this vital role please contact the chairman. The President announced that Mark Ridout who has played over 200 league games for the club, a truly outstanding achievement is now a Vice President of the club.
