Your club needs you!
Volunteers needed for 2009/2010 season.
A club like ours relies on volunteers and from time to time even the most reliable of the "regulars" need to step down and take a rest - which means that certain roles become vacant and new opportunities arise for people to make a real contribution to this great club.
For 2009/10, the club needs people to step forward and fill a number of key roles:
Treasurer
A key position as one of the club's six-person General Committee; responsible for agreeing annual budgets, financial control and oversight, production of monthly management accounts and formal annual accounts. Would suit somebody good with figures, but no need to be an accountant. Full training, hand-over and back-up provided. This is a great opportunity to give something back to the rugby club and to help steer it to a solid and successful future.
Bar Manager
Your chance to stamp your personality on the heart of Sevenoaks RFC. As well as being responsible for one of the club's most important revenue sources, the bar manager becomes the very heartbeat of the club, setting the friendly, welcoming tone that determines how players, guests and visitors alike remember our club. A fantastic opportunity to make a huge positive contribution to your rugby club. No previous experience necessary; full training, hand-over and back-up provided.
Entertainments co-ordinator
A busy and varied social programme is central to a lively and vibrant rugby club. We need someone who can co-ordinate a series of social events throughout the season, drawing on the enthusiasm and drive of all the club's membership. You won't be expected to organise all the events yourself, simply ensure a co-ordinated programme and make sure individual event organisers have the support and back-up they need.
