Tommy was very please to see the players apply themselves to the training this week with the resulting reward, and the sigh of relief from the players and coaches, of being let off the "Suicides" ...
Lets keep the focus on the training and apply those skills practised in every session and game.
Next Sunday we will be play hosts to Aylesford at home, normal start at 10am Sunday 5th Feb.
I will be sending out a note this week for your attendance at the Quiz light with Ledbury RFC on evening of the Sat 25th at Kemsing Primary school. Thank you to those that offered to support us on the evening with the arrangements, we hope to finalise those details this week.
On the website http://www.sevenoaks-rugby.org.uk/Junior+Rugby/Under+12s You will see the latest updates and and be able to reply your confirmation for the evening.

Ledbury Quiz Nigtht Saturday 26th February 6:30pm until about 10pm.
No, with regret we are Unable to Attend
A reminder that we play hosts to Ledbury RFC from Gloucester on the 25th and 26th of February. Could I ask Parents to confirm if they are attending (and how many) the Saturday evening Quiz and Support event at Kemsing School. We need to get an idea of numbers for the Hall and Catering. First come first served... Dib's us first! (AJ and MJ)
The itinerary will be:
Ledbury will join us at the Club house to watch England v Wales on the big screen ( a chance for Dave Thomas to gloat?).
Kemsing School for a Quiz & Supper (Fish'n'Chip or Curry/Chilli tbc) night for both teams (and their families) which is intended to start about half an hour or so after the Rugby finishes. The Quiz will be set by our own "Bob Holness" look alike David Rabbitt. The plan is to finish around 21:30 on the Saturday evening.
On Sunday we will have a four way tournament between two Sevenoaks teams (hopefully) Ledbury and either Westcombe Park or Aylesford. This will be followed by prize giving and a lunch at the club, finishing at 14:00 hours.
There will be a return fixture to Ledbury early next season, please show your support in making this event successful as possible as I am sure our visitors would be keen to surpass our hospitality.
Tommy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, as promised the New Year started a new training session with a change on direction for warm up and fitness sessions through to the game at the end. We are trying to get the players to play more as a unit so they are able to develop not only their individual skills but their team working and team communication too. Moving on to team selection for the up and coming festivals, the coaches have decided to introduce a selection criteria based upon a players Attitude, Attendance and Application. Players who behave, listen, attend training regularly and try their best in all the training sessions will be considered for places in the Festivals teams. Please feel free to pass this on to the players, certainly the coaches will be doing so on a Sunday morning.
Next few bits of Admin etc, one of the Coaches training Tops appears to have been picked up in error, so if you come across a very large Sevenoaks Training top we have a body to fit it... well one of the coaches.
Next Sunday 15th we will be at home for a training session.
Finally, some of you may have noticed that there was a significant change at the start of this new year. Despite numerous attempts at resuscitation, attempt at TLC, repair and vast quantities of tape we regret to inform you of the demise of Tommy's Rugby boots... Yes, those boots have seen many a dropped ball, yellow card and missed passes to finally give up... times move on and we are glad to see (hmm and probably Carolyn and Conor too) Tommy in his pristine shiny new boots this weekend, with a nice shiny yellow streak clearly indicating he has a hankering for playing in the backs.
Tommy "those Boots where made for Rucking".
See you all Next Sunday
Allan
p.s Below is the Spartan's new head gear... someone was bored when Dancing On Ice was on.
